Katoomba Showroom & Store Temporarily Closed
Effective Tuesday 31st August, our Katoomba Showroom & Store will be closed to the public. This is due to increasing risk of transmission in the Blue Mountains LGA, and is in place until further notice. We will still operate contactless Click & Collect services as well as local delivery options for our customers in the Upper Blue Mountains.
Orders can be made by phoning our office on 02 4782 3975 during normal business hours, or placing an order online and selecting the Click & Collect option at checkout.
Delays For Dispatch of Orders
Due to a surge in demand for both our wholesale and online trading anticipate some delays in processing and delivery of your order. Please keep in mind that all of our products are made-to-order.
Our current advice is to anticipate 3-5 business days for dispatch of your online order, with transit time on top of this based on your location. To determine your likely transit time, we recommend your refer to the Australia Post website, which may also take into account specific delays in your area. Please note transit times can vary wildly from estimates.
Delivery Impacts
Australia Post are experiencing a significant volumes of parcels that will result in delays for your delivery. Please keep in mind that your parcel could take longer to reach you, even if you are located close by to our bakery in Katoomba.
Be aware of changes to delivery services that may apply to your location. For online customers, please refer to the Australia Post website for updates on potential delays for deliveries in your area.
As per advice from Australia Post and our other delivery partners, delays are to be expected for all deliveries being made over the coming months.
Restrictions Across NSW
The NSW Government has imposed restrictions across the Greater Sydney Region, including the Blue Mountains where Whisk & Pin operates.
Whisk & Pin continues to operate, whilst prioritising the health and safety of our people in these difficult circumstances. At this time, we have no suspected or confirmed infection of employees in our company. We have implemented and will continue to implement social distancing practices, mandatory mask-wearing, mandatory covid-qr code check-ins, hygiene precautions, heightened cleaning measures and work-from-home plans for our people where practical and appropriate.
We are closely monitoring state and federal government directives in respect of the definition of essential and non-essential services. Whisk & Pin is currently included in the state and federal government definition of essential services, allowing us to continue to operate under existing lockdown provisions. We anticipate being able to continue to operate, even under a more stringent lockdown regime.
Whisk & Pin will continue to take the advice of state and federal governments, health authorities and applicable industry bodies as the situation unfolds. We will maintain a high degree of communication with our suppliers and customers and will update this page with new information as soon as it becomes relevant to do so.
On-Site Visits
Until further notice, all on-site visits are suspended to protect the health of our staff. Our Showroom & Store is closed to the public until further notice, however we continue to operate contactless Click & Collect services or home delivery options. This does not affect deliveries made to our warehouse. Though at all times, social distancing measures of 1.5m between individuals must be observed, as well as mandatory face masks, and QR code check-in for shop customers.
Business Trading Hours
At this stage there is no change to our usual trading hours for our office or warehouse.
